Back-end (Python) Developer

Job description

About us

We at L1NDA are redefining hospitality work by providing workers and businesses with smart, time-saving and legally sound solutions that make (planning) work easy and enjoyable. On L1NDA’s menu, you’ll L1NDA Connect and L1NDA Planner, which power our mission to redefine hospitality work. Our roots lie in the Dutch hospitality industry, and we have the ambition to expand into other countries and industries with a diverse portfolio of innovative services.

L1NDA is a small, ambitious and international team, operating from the heart of the beautiful and exciting tech hub Amsterdam. Our culture puts openness, collaboration, diversity and inclusivity first.

About you

You are a developer who cares as much about software architecture and engineering practices as you do about providing a great experience to users.

You understand that excellence in software development is as much about people and culture as it is about technology and process. You believe that your role as a developer is to be an engaged professional and valuable member of an autonomous, self-organizing team.

You never stop learning, but you also enjoy being a mentor to others and love sharing your knowledge. You are not afraid to take on daunting challenges. You care about doing what’s right and won’t settle for doing what’s convenient, and expect the same of your co-workers.

Your role

As part of our development team you will play an active role in innovating our products with new services, one that will not be limited to just coding. Because we believe in working as a team everyone gets the space to contribute and be involved in choices we make.

Some of the things we expect you to contribute to:

  • Work together to build a strong, healthy, inclusive and open engineering culture.
  • Collaborate with other developers, designers and product people.
  • Contribute to a development lifecycle and tooling setup where we can deploy flawless and bug free releases with a single command. (Hey, we can dream!)
  • Help with high-level technical decisions
  • Play a role in recruiting and interviewing new team members.
  • Picking places to have lunch.

Our offer

  • The opportunity to make a real difference
  • Optional 32 or 40 hours per week
  • 25 days of holiday (on basis of 40 hours per week)
  • 2,6% pension fund contribution.
  • Flexible working hours and the freedom to regularly work from home.
  • A work-life balance that is healthy for you.
  • Lovely office in the center of Amsterdam (Leidsestraat).
  • Fresh daily lunch.
  • Shiny MacBook.

Our stack

  • Python
  • Flask
  • Django
  • Postgres
  • Angular
  • React
  • Vue
  • AWS
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform

This is a guide of skills and technologies relevant for your future work, but we understand that you are a person, not a checklist. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t match all of them! We’re actually excited to see what you could bring to our team regardless.

  • Python experience
  • Some overlap with your experience and our stack
  • You put thought in the way you organise your code and are interested in design patterns
  • You strive to write clean and maintainable code - for others, but also for your future self
  • You’re comfortable communicating in English
  • Make us more awesome
